Print your world.

Worldgenerator is the browser-based 3D editor for designing and 3D-printing your own tabletop terrain. Create plates, sculpt heights, place trees, ruins and props — and end up with a print-ready STL or 3MF file. Ideal for D&D terrain, Warhammer battlefields and any miniature landscape.

Runs entirely in the browser · assets under CC0 license · STL/3MF export without watermark

The Worldgenerator 3D editor in the browser: a fantasy scene with statue, war elephants and castle across several print plates
In three steps

From an empty table to a printed world

No CAD degree, no installation. You build your terrain visually in 3D and end up with a print-ready file.

1

Build the world

In the editor, create plates, sculpt heights, paint and fill them with over 100 CC0 assets — from trees to castle walls. Scale presets (e.g. D&D, 1 square = 25.4 mm) included.

2

Download & print yourself

One click exports each plate as STL + 3MF — manifold-checked and ready to slice. With a report on dimensions, volume and PLA weight per plate.

3

Or: send a print order

No 3D printer? Send your world as a print order straight from the editor. We print it for you and get back to you with price and delivery time.

From the editor

From the first plate to the whole battle

What's inside

Everything you need to design tabletop terrain yourself

From a rough ridge to a single ruin — a toolkit built for 3D printing and real gameplay feel.

Multi-plate system

Worlds made of several print plates, seamlessly connected — larger than any print bed. Perfect for whole D&D encounters instead of single tiles.

Terrain sculpting

Raise, smooth, level, draw paths — with brush tools directly in 3D. Hills, canyons and riverbeds in seconds.

Asset library (CC0)

Trees, rocks, ruins, castle parts — free for commercial use and included in the STL/3MF export. No licensing fine print.

Print-ready guaranteed

Every export is checked for manifold geometry and repaired — no broken meshes in the slicer, no rescuing with third-party tools.

Real scales

D&D grid, freely selectable mm per square, report with dimensions and material weight. Your miniature landscape fits to the millimeter.

Cloud projects

With an account: save worlds, autosave every 5 minutes, preview in the project overview. Keep building on any computer.

Print service

No printer? No problem.

Build your world in the editor and submit it as a print order — with your material and quantity preferences. You get a quote by email, and printing only starts after your approval. That way your miniature landscape reaches the table even without your own 3D printer.

Frequently asked questions

Briefly explained before you start

The key answers on export, printing and scale — in more detail in the FAQ.

Do I need my own 3D printer?

No. You can print your STL/3MF files yourself — or send us a print order straight from the editor and have the finished parts delivered.

Which format does Worldgenerator export in?

Each plate is exported as STL and 3MF — manifold-checked and without a watermark. You load both formats directly into common slicers like Cura, PrusaSlicer or Bambu Studio.

Does the terrain fit my miniatures (D&D, Warhammer)?

Yes. With scale presets and freely selectable millimeters per grid square (default: 25.4 mm for D&D), every element fits precisely with 28 mm miniatures and heroic-scale figures.

What do the assets cost — may I use them commercially?

All included 3D assets are under CC0. You may use them freely without attribution, including commercially — even in the finished print export.
